This month we are really excited to launch our campaign with a simple but powerful message “It’s Okay!” What we are fundamentally saying okay to is ourselves and our feelings without judgement. Many of us feel that we should be on a fast-track to becoming enlightened before we are ready, and in that state not permitting ourselves to feel angry, sad or fearful.
The truth is that most of us are not enlightened yet, so we are continuously feeling these primary emotions which are a natural part of our lives, and then judging ourselves for it. So instead of placing more rules on how we ‘should’ be, let’s say ‘okay’ to the way we feel and acknowledge these emotions when we experience them. In our lives we will feel angry, sad and have fear. The gifts from these emotions is that anger helps us draw boundaries, fear helps to protect us, and sadness helps us release and cleanse our system. If we don’t allow ourselves these feelings we will then experience additional uncomfortable emotions of guilt, shame, frustration and humiliation and all the other secondary emotions which come from judgment.
The process is as simple as scanning yourself for how you feel, and then saying okay to yourself for it as that is your truth. To help you on this journey, please watch this short 3-min video that I have created to spread awareness about this and transform the way we think. Also please stay tuned to our Facebook page this month as we will be posting a daily video of 30 people from all walks of life who have chosen to free themselves and say “it’s okay” to how they are feeling!
