As we usher in the Year of the Dragon, we extend our warmest wishes to you and your loved ones for a joyous and prosperous Chinese New Year!
We also understand that this time of the year can bring up some triggers for some people. The year has just started, it may seem different to what you have thought and you’re already disappointed, or Valentines’ Day can bring up underlying issues in relationships, or Chinese New Year can bring up familial expectations. Yet, no matter what’s happening around you, it’s useful to remember some universal truths that we tend to forget when we are triggered. Here are some reminders of how valuable you truly are, and how you do have the resources to deal with what life brings you, you just need to access them.
Truths of life
- Pain is a part of life on Earth, and it’s okay to experience it
- I can be realistic (without needing to be idealistic or pessimistic)
- I am connected to my source of wisdom, I just need to access it
- I exist; therefore, I am valuable. I don’t need to prove it.
- My capabilities are not connected to my worthiness
- All my experiences are impermanent
- I have choices and I am responsible for my journey
- If I change my perception, my whole reality changes
I encourage you to save this list, take some time to bask in the one that resonates most with you, and let it be your truth of the day. And you can pick a new one tomorrow and so on. Wishing you all a beautiful start of the year and let this be one of self-partnership and aligning with the ultimate truth.
